Tess discovered the impacts of cross-cultural exposure and exchange firsthand as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student during her junior year of high school in Bremen, Germany. As a Sullivan Scholar at Seattle University, Tess earned a BA in International Studies and minors in Global Politics and International Economic Development (2010) and studied abroad in Italy, Germany (as a DAAD Undergraduate Scholar), Mexico, and Macedonia. Tess then earned her MA in International Education at the George Washington University (2016), where she focused on international exchange, program design, and global education. Prior to coming to Academic Travel Abroad, she was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Berlin, Germany, and worked at Amazon, Seattle University, the George Washington University, and CET Academic Programs. Tess is from Juneau, Alaska, and enjoys cooking good food, visiting new cities, and exploring the great outdoors.
