Miasi was born in Northern, New Jersey and moved to Maryland as a child. Growing up, her favorite thing was to take long car rides and watching the surrounding geography turn from the city to the country on family road trips. She has always had a deep appreciation for travel and beautiful sights around the world. Throughout her schooling, Miasi spent the summer with other adolescents from a sister school located in China. She has a “pen-pal” from her Chinese summer camp program that she communicates with 7+ years later! This experience gave her a deeper insight into and appreciation for the many beautiful cultures the world has to offer. While in college, Miasi studied English and Communications at Prince George’s Community College, where she particularly enjoyed studying history and geographical writing. She volunteers during the week at a local middle school program that promotes the empowerment and skill-set of young women, Distinguished Young Ladies. One of her favorite pass times is to visit antique shows and museums. She hopes to one day own a Dover White 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. For recreation, Miasi likes to crochet winter blankets, recycle 1960’s & 1970’s dresses, and visit local museums with her friends.
