A Busy Fall Travel Season

At the time of writing, we had over 20 programs heading out on adventures for a diverse group of partners—from celebrity chefs, to universities, to museums all over the country. And with 28% of Americans planning fall vacations this year, we’re excited about what’s yet to come.

Travel Pulse notes “Even while faced with record inflation rates, insane gas prices and the continued presence of COVID-19, global consumers show no indications that travel demand (especially among Americans) will abate anytime soon.” Here are some other interesting statistics:

  • 81% of US travelers are opting for domestic travel
  • Over 40% plan to travel more than 7 hours, many by air
  • 33% of Americans are planning getaways of more than 5 nights

We celebrate the return of travel and invite all our partners to consider how ATA can complement your existing repertoire of trips!

Health & Safety Still Come First

In an era of a pandemic that is not quite over, ATA continues to require that all of our travelers remain fully vaccinated (at least two primary shots + one booster). Why do we maintain this requirement? COVID-19 vaccinations minimize risk of serious illness, hospitalization, and death. Any one of these outcomes would ruin a trip—not just for those infected, but for all those traveling in the group. And with evidence that vaccinations reduce transmission through lower viral loads, vaccines are simply a minimal requirement with considerable positive impact.

Most who have traveled with us since fall of 2021 have reported enjoying our programs and complimented ATA on our handling of any positive cases. We take our commitment to deliver quality programs while protecting the well-being of our travelers very seriously!

A Growing Team at ATA

With study abroad numbers now exceeding pre-pandemic levels and businesses once again embracing travel, the past three months at ATA have been filled with new colleagues and a few familiar faces.

We’ve hired twenty new employees, including fourteen overseas at our sites in Japan, Taiwan, Czechia, Brazil, and Colombia. We’ve even had a few former staff return to us later in their careers—which we consider a great compliment! And the growth doesn’t end there, we’re currently hiring for five positions across the organization. Please direct any interested parties to ATA and CET’s respective career pages.
